Tim began ministry as a missionary in Mexico, attended Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, and has served congregations in Texas as an ordained pastor for 11 years. He has served the family of St. John and the Mansfield community since September, 2010.
Whether you've known Jesus your entire life, just getting back in touch with Him, or discovering Him for the first time, he'd love to meet you, hear your story and walk alongside and help you in your spiritual journey.
Over the past few years Tim has seen God work His grace of redemption and restoration in his life. For that, he is eternally grateful.
Pastor Tim enjoys running, rowing, hiking and spending time with his three children.
Cory Smith was born in Michigan but spent most of his “growing up” years in St. Louis. He graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, with a B.S. in Education, while also obtaining his L.T.D. and D.C.E. certificate. Cory has a heart for young people and their families. He has seen how having God in the center of his own family has changed their lives here and for eternity.
He looks forward to helping St. John grow strong faith, strong families and strong friends. He enjoys taking his wife and 4 kids outdoors (hunting, fishing, camping etc.), playing sports of any kind, and has been known to enjoy a video game or two in his time.

Who We Are
Building Strong Friends. Strong Families. Strong FAITH.
St. John is a high impact church where lives are changed and relationships are nurtured by the strong power of Jesus Christ. We dream of St. John being a L.I.F.E. Center (Lay Institute for Equipping) building a visible community of strong friends, strong families, and strong FAITH as we reach out to all people with the love of Jesus Christ.
What We Believe
About the Bible:
As Lutherans, we believe that the Bible is all it claims to be – God's inspired word. The Bible is thousands of years old, written over the course of forty generations on three different continents and in three different languages – yet it speaks with amazing continuity and clarity on all kinds of controversial topics. The Bible contains all that is necessary for us to be in relationship to God and to other people. It shows us the pathway to peace with God – it also shows us the best way to have great relationships with the people around us. The Bible has inspired billions over the course of history and has changed the lives of more people than anyone could count.
