Information on Wee Learn

The purpose of our curriculum is to provide a framework that allows children to grow and develop as Jesus did - "in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man" (Luke 2:52). A child's growth and development is viewed as a process, not an even curriculum provides a range of activities designed to meet the needs of preschoolers at their level of development. It provides guidance and activities in each unit to help each child develop language, reading, writing, and math skills appropriate to his or her stage of development.

Spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, and social developments are equally important. The curriculum includes activities which incorporate these into a balanced program of early childhood education.

The WEE Learn curriculum is developed around themes which provide opportunities for children to learn about God's world and how to live in it. Activities which embrace physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual development are included under each theme topic. The themes are designed to help lay a foundation for understanding God, Jesus, the Bible, church, self, family, others and the natural world. Teaching includes individual, small-group, and large-group activities which will meet the specific needs and interest of each child. Group experiences include chapel, music, outdoor play, circle time, snack, rest time, and lunch. Learning Centers are used to incorporate art, blocks, books and listening, dramatic play, music, science and nature, puzzles, math and manipulatives across the curriculum.
